Well, the results are in from Mel’s 4th yr research project…and they look good. Working with some of the states upcoming elite hockey players and some technologies developed at the Centre for Wireless Monitoring and Applications, a verifiable assessment method for player skill was verified! The work has been tracked nicely in the scientific literature, including at the most recent Engineering of Sports biennial conference of the International Sports Engineering Association in Lowell, USA, and the poster from the 2010 conference as well.
